5 things to know before your first RDSO psycho test

Why this matters

The RDSO psycho test is not a maths or reasoning paper. It measures your attention, perception, memory and personality stability under time pressure. Your scores get standardised across all candidates, so a calm head and consistent pace beat speed bursts.

1. Sleep is your secret weapon

Pull off two good nights of sleep before exam day. Tired brains lose accuracy on attention tasks first.

2. Practise with the same screen zoom

RDSO sets the on-screen zoom at 90%. Match that during practice so your eyes do not adjust on the day.

3. The mouse scroll wheel will not work

Get used to scrolling with the side bar. Mock with no scroll wheel even at home.

4. No pen and paper

You will not get rough sheets. Train your visual memory directly.

5. Accuracy is not graded the same way as a school test

Marks for some sections are based on speed and consistency, not getting every item right. Move on if you are stuck.

Practising on the same interface as the real exam is the single biggest edge most aspirants overlook.
